Stillness

Let it Be

Walking in the sand,
She held my hand,
She smiled at me,
Said let it be.

We talked a while
In the aisle,
They comforted me,
Said let it be.

I stood alone,
On top the knoll,
He spoke to me,
Let it be.

In days gone by,
The memories sigh,
I could not see,
To let it be.

And now I know,
Too late to show,
That time does flee,
Too late to let it be.
